The feature highlighted my work in digital innovation and EdTech, using the Cameroon GCE Guide App as a case study of how locally identified education challenges can be translated into practical technology solutions. I discussed how the platform was designed to improve students’ access to examination resources and support more effective preparation through digital tools.

Africa 54 is Voice of America’s Africa-focused programme, featuring reporting and expert interviews across business, education, technology and current affairs. The appearance provided an international platform to showcase a locally developed Cameroonian technology solution to a wider global audience.

The conversation examined how artificial intelligence is reshaping Cameroon’s rapidly expanding digital economy, including both the opportunities created by AI and the emerging cybersecurity risks associated with its adoption. I discussed AI applications across education, business, public services and fraud detection, while highlighting risks including AI-generated phishing, deepfakes, voice cloning and mobile-money fraud.

The appearance provided an opportunity to contribute practical perspectives on the evolving digital landscape, including the implications of emerging technologies, cybersecurity risks and the need for stronger digital resilience across businesses, institutions and the wider technology ecosystem.
