Awards and Independent Recognition.

In September 2026, I was selected as one of the 35 Under 35 Cameroon Youth Excellence Awardees in the Technology & Innovation category, an initiative presented by the Cameroon Youth Awards in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Yaoundé.

Through your work, you have demonstrated the creativity, determination, and commitment to service that characterize a new generation of Cameroonian leaders.”

My recognition was further formalised through an official Certificate of Recognition, signed by the President of the Cameroon Youth Awards and John G. Robinson, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at the U.S. Embassy in Cameroon.

I had the honour of receiving the Chevening Alumni Award on behalf of our alumni association, in recognition of our contribution to societal development in Cameroon.

The recognition reflected our work providing free professional services and community-focused initiatives that have impacted thousands of Cameroonians, delivered in partnership with the British High Commission in Cameroon.

The award ceremony brought together Chevening alumni, government officials and representatives of partner organisations to celebrate the achievements and wider impact of the Chevening Scholarship programme and its alumni community.

I was awarded 1st Prize in the Science, Technology, Arts and Digital Technology category at the University of Buea’s 2022 Ingenuity and Talent Contest (UB-GETEC).

The competition recognised innovative student-led projects that demonstrated creativity, problem-solving and the ability to apply knowledge across disciplines. I received a 300,000 FCFA cash prize and a Letter of Congratulations from the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buea in recognition of the achievement.

The competition showcased projects that exhibited great creativity and ingenuity on the part of students. Competing with students from other faculties such as the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and other faculties and emerging 1st in the category means a lot.

I was named a 40 Under 40 Honoree in the 2021 Cameroon Achievers Awards, published by AVICOMM Group, in recognition of my work as an entrepreneur and my contributions to innovation and technology-driven problem solving.

The annual power list celebrates emerging Cameroonian leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers making notable contributions across their respective fields.

I was awarded 3rd Place nationally in Cameroon in the 2019 Orange Social Venture Prize in Africa and the Middle East (POESAM).

POESAM is an established technology and social-innovation competition organised annually since 2011 by Orange Cameroun, a subsidiary of the Orange Group, one of the world’s largest telecommunications operators (Group revenues of €40.26 billion and approximately 291 million customers across 26 countries as of 2024-2025, per Orange's own investor disclosures). The programme operates across 17 countries in Africa and the Middle East and recognizes startups using information and communication technologies to create measurable social or environmental impact.

My app and startup, the Cameroon GCE Guide App was awarded Best Mobile App of the Year 2018 at the Bonteh Digital Media Awards (BDMA), held in Douala, Cameroon.

The recognition highlighted the app’s early contribution to digital education and its use of mobile technology to improve students’ access to examination and study resources. The awards brought together and recognised innovators and stakeholders across Cameroon’s technology and media.

The selection process began with a public call for nominations, followed by a national voting phase in which five applications were shortlisted within the category. The finalists then progressed to an internal jury assessment, after which the Cameroon GCE Guide App was selected as the winner of the Best Mobile App category.
