Attending Chevening – Best of British Regional Scottish Heritage and Stirling Castle

It was a great honour for us to attend Chevening’s Best of British Regional event: Scottish Heritage and Stirling Castle. From learning about Scottish art and heritage to exploring Stirling’s city centre and touring the majestic Stirling Castle, it’s been an experience like no other in the historic city.

Starting with an early morning breakfast and a warm welcome from Professor Neville Wylie at the University of Stirling, we enjoyed a full-day event with many amazing activities. From a campus walk with fellow Chevening scholars to an art collection tour and talks on aquaculture at the Institute of Aquaculture, we gained so much knowledge and inspiration. We also had a short written quiz following the talks on Aquaculture, and the winner received a special prize from the University, including a £50 Amazon voucher. The day continued with a wellbeing-sports centre tour and a walk through the city centre before visiting the magnificent Stirling Castle – an absolute highlight! Exciting as we enjoyed the stunning architecture, fascinating exhibitions, and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including several beautiful gardens.

It has been a fantastic day for us all. We remain very grateful to Chevening for this beautiful opportunity and event.
